I specialize in working with kids, teens, young women and couples. I enjoy helping clients manage relationship or communication issues, anxiety, or grief. I seek to get to know my clients on a deep level to provide a safe space for exploring unique experiences and perceptions. As a couples and family therapist intern, I take a systemic and relationship-based approach to therapy, where we look at how your community and environment affect you, and vice versa. My specialty is working with clients to explore how their strengths, spirituality, and resilience, as well as their pain and trauma, make up their life story.
I have training in human behavior, social psychology, and interpersonal communication. I also have personal and professional experience with anxiety, grief, and intimate partner violence that I believe lends itself well to assisting individuals, couples, and families who are navigating those same issues.
As a couples and family therapist intern working out of narrative theory, I highly value social justice, feminism, and equity in my approach. I work to challenge harmful notions in our culture while working with clients to find and live their true values. I welcome individuals and couples from the LGBTQIA community and other marginalized groups.
